What is the new pricing model? I find it confusing.
The new pricing model is easier to understand and simpler than before. It is like an electricity bill where you pay for the consumption you have done. Here at Searce, we can assist you in understanding the new model and answer all your queries.
Does the new platform have usage/quota limit?
With the new platform, there are no daily quota limits. After integrating with the Google Cloud Platform, it allows you to scale up/down as per your needs.
 
Will Google give me a higher discount if I use more APIs?
The Google Maps Platform is based on a tier wise pricing model where the discount increases as your API usage increases. The first two discount tiers are publically available and the tiers thereafter can be accessed through a Premier partner like Searce.
Can I get some free APIs to test my application?
Google Cloud allows you a free credit of $200 every month. You can plan your development phase within this budget. Once you begin to scale, do reach out to Searce if you have any queries.
I am currently on the standard plan with my credit card enabled, why am I hitting API quota limit?
Currently the standard plan in India has a usage/daily quota cap which can only be unlocked if you move to a valid partner billing.
My company does not allow for credit card payment. What should I do?
Searce allows you to pay the monthly invoice through a Bank transfer/Demand Draft.
My monthly API bill is too high, how do I decrease it?
If you feel that your API usage per month is too high, Searce can conduct an API optimization workshop for you. After going through the use case and implementation, we shall suggest optimizations wherever possible.
How can I estimate my bill on the new pricing model?
To give you more clarity on your monthly expense for Google Maps APIs, we conduct estimation exercises that will help you budget your monthly/yearly expenses.
 
 
I don't want to use all the APIs, just a few. Do I still need to pay for all the APIs?
There is no fixed commitment in the new Google Maps Platform model, you only have to pay for the APIs you use and not all of them.
How can I check the number of APIs I am using every month?
In order to check, visit the Google cloud console and select your current project. Click on Billing > Reports > Group By > SKU. Connect with our account manager to further assist you on this.
